Acid proof air/air heat exchanger
Gupex AS delivers 8 acid proof air to air plate heat exchangers to large surface treatment plant.
GUPEX® acid resistant air to air plate heat exchangers where selected to be fitted in both the process air and the general ventilation of a large surface treatment factory. 100000 m3⁄h (59000 cfm) of air divided into four air-air heat exchangers for the general ventilation and 100000 m3⁄h (59000 cfm) divided into another four air⁄air heat exchangers for the process air.
The process air contains several corrosive and otherwise hostile chemicals including:
- Hydrofluoric acid, HF
- Nitric acid, HNO3
- Hydrocloric acid, HCl
- Sodium hydroxide (lye), NaOH
- Cyanides
to mention a few..
The presence of these gases in the air excluded the use of almost any other heat exchanger types. The GUPEX® air-to-air heat exchanger can handle these chemicals, year in, year out.
